Fees & Payment Options
Investing in Your Healing Journey
Therapy is an investment in your well-being — and I believe in making the process clear and transparent. At Soul Works Mental Health & Well-Being, I offer two flexible ways to pay for care:
FAQs About Payment
What insurance do you accept?
I currently accept Aetna and its subsidiaries, including Allied Benefit Systems, Meritain, Nippon Life Benefits, Trustmark Health Benefits (Aetna), and HealthScope Benefits.
I am also in the process of joining the Optum network (including UnitedHealthcare, UMR, and Oxford Health Plans) and I am currently on their waiting list. If you’re interested in working together and you have Optum or one of its subsidiaries, I encourage you to check back for updates or consider starting with private pay until my network status is finalized.
We will automatically check your benefits and confirm your coverage when you request an appointment.
If you prefer not to use insurance, I offer private pay sessions. Many clients choose this option because it offers:
More privacy — your care stays between us.
More flexibility — no diagnosis required and no restrictions on session focus or length.
Full control over your care — no insurance company approvals or oversight.
What are your Private Pay Rates?
Initial Intake Session (75 minutes): $225
Ongoing Therapy Sessions (55 minutes): $175
Do you offer sliding scale rates?
I reserve a limited number of sliding scale slots for clients experiencing financial hardship. If you would like to discuss this option, please let me know during your initial consultation.
Do you accept Out-of-Network Benefits?
If I’m not in-network with your insurance, but you have out-of-network benefits, I’m happy to provide a superbill after each private pay session. You can submit that to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
Can I switch between private pay and insurance?
Yes, in many cases. If your situation changes, we can explore transitioning between private pay and insurance-supported sessions.
What if my insurance has a high deductible?
Some clients choose to pay out-of-pocket until their deductible is met, especially early in the year. Alma will show you exactly what your costs will be, so you can make the choice that fits your needs.
Not Sure Which Option is Best? Let’s Talk.
