Session Info
Starting therapy can feel like a big step — here’s what you need to know before we begin.
Therapy Details
What can I expect from therapy?
Therapy is a space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. I use a compassionate, culturally responsive approach rooted in both evidence and real-world understanding. We’ll work together to help you feel more grounded, connected, and in control of your own story.
What types of concerns do you help with?
I support clients navigating a wide range of challenges, including:
Stress and anxiety
Trauma and PTSD
Grief and loss
Identity exploration
Life transitions
Burnout and boundaries
Self-worth and confidence
If it’s important to you, it’s worth exploring here.
What if I’ve never been to therapy before?
That’s completely okay. Many of my clients are new to therapy. We’ll go at your pace — no pressure, no rush — and I’ll guide you every step of the way.
Session Details
Are sessions virtual or in person?
All sessions are currently virtual. We meet via a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform so you can attend from the comfort of your home or private space.
What do I need for a virtual session?
You’ll need:
A stable internet connection
A device with a camera and microphone
A quiet, private space where you can feel comfortable and supported
What if I have tech issues?
Life happens. If technical issues come up, we’ll troubleshoot together or reschedule as needed — no stress.
What should I expect in the first session?
The intake session (75 minutes) is where we begin your healing journey. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you hope to get out of therapy, and start building a personalized plan together.
Insurance, Payment & Policies
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I currently accept Aetna and its subsidiaries. For a full list of accepted plans and details, visit the Fees & Payment page.
Do you offer private pay or sliding scale options?
Yes. I offer private pay sessions, and I reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients experiencing financial hardship. You can find my current rates and accessibility options on the Fees & Payment page.
Do you accept out-of-network benefits?
If your insurance offers out-of-network coverage, I’m happy to provide a superbill for potential reimbursement. More details are available here.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a fee.
